Why programming is hard

Apologies, some works just defy categorisation. Anyway, here's a program in Ruby programming language. I wrote the program over last few days. It's just a small hack to serve my needs; I don't think it needs fuller release (unless it sneakily becomes a full-featured Twitter/laconi.ca client).

Anyway, this drawing - hopefully - illustrates one important thing: Programming would be simple if humans weren't involved. Making sensible user interfaces is hard, even when it's a very simple interface (like in this case).
