What's been going on lately?

I've not been submitting anything in DeviantArt for a while. Reason? Many reasons, I guess.
  1. I guess there's just too many places I could share my stuff on. It's very difficult to choose which social media / art sharing place I want to put my stuff on, or if I should stick the stuff on a blog or Twitter or my own websites or just share the stuff with my friends.
  2. I've had a bit of a lull what comes to my actual output, and I've mostly done a lot of unpublished (and unpolished or unfinished) stories.
  3. I guess DeviantArt has a lot of my earlier stuff and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about those.
That said, I think I will publish some stuff on DeviantArt again. At some point. I guess. Maybe. At least I'll clear up my inbox every now and then, at very least.

Guess what? NaNoWriMo

Yup! Doing NaNoWriMo once again. It's called Echoes of Mirra, and will be (kind of) an Avarthrel story - this time it's purely set in the sci-fi "Planet A" era and will probably only contain very little stuff that is actually set on planet Avarthrel. But it will hopefully be interesting for the backstory.

Bad news? 235 words on the first day. But not for the lack of effort. Busy with other stuff for a few more days. At least I got something done.

Yyyeah, the previous entry I posted was about NaNoWriMo being on.

Last year.

Well, guess what - NaNoWriMo is on again!

This year around, I'm once again making an Avarthrel novel - titled "Through Sea and Dead Fields". High fantasy! Privateers! Steampunk hijinks! Communist vampires! It's all here!

I'm a Wikipedia guy. As a result, I appreciate public commenting and public discussion of important matters. It isn't a policy if it gets decided behind closed doors, dammit.

Hence, I've made my policy that you should consider all private notes sent to me here potentially publishable. (Not automatically, but potentially.)

If you want to contact me for *any* reason, you may as well go to the deviant comments section on my dA page and leave me a *publicly readable* note. If there are details that absolutely must remain secret and there is a proper justification to that, *then* send a note.

I'm making this particular decision because public commentary encourages people to at least think before they post.
